Aspen Summer Retreat

Aspen Women’s Summer retreat

An Aspen Women's Yoga, Hiking, Hot Springs, and Meditation Retreat

August 14th -18th, 2024~

Next August 14th -18th, 2024 come along for an alpine retreat and adventure unlike any other. A nature bath in one of the most beautiful corners of Colorado for all women.

Imagine yourself surrendered by scenic mountains, star gazing and unwinding in fresh mountain air with space to relax, explore, practice, meditate, practice, create, and connect, thrive, and adventure!

Join me for a summer retreat in Aspen in one of my favorite little mountain towns in Colorado for a petite week of yoga, hiking, hot springs, relaxation, nature, art, and meditation.

Slow down, pause, and revel in daily yoga, the option to add additional adventures on your own, an art workshop, and more. We will slow down in our yoga practices to enjoy and explore the energetics and alignment of asanas, proper breath work, and a variety of guided mindful and vipassana meditations.

Students will also have the option to pop around town or simply soak up more time at the hotel and lodge, check out town, or get out for an epic guided adventure hike, fishing, or more with a trusted guide.

All students are encouraged to join but basic outdoor knowledge and some hiking experience is encouraged as this is a high-altitude mountain retreat.

Retreat yourself and create space to slow down and share a wonderful long weekend with a fantastic group of adventurous, mindful, and nature-loving women.

-- Please note: we will all carpool to the hot springs outside Carbondale, and to a meal or two in town.

YOGA:

We will be practicing a strong, dynamic, and compassionate yoga practice and flow marrying together the traditions of Iyengar and Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga. We will slowly and mindfully weave our way through alignment-based practices each day taking time to workshop asanas and come-see-come-look moments giving students the opportunity to demo postures as we practice. Expect longer holds, break-downs of alignment and postures, and a focus on the breath. Classes are appropriate for all levels from beginners to advanced practitioners and teachers. We ask students to be truly curious and expect to take a deep and joyful dive into the practice and your own inner ecology and wilderness.

MEDITATION:

We will be practicing guided Vipassana and Mindful Meditation during the retreat including breath meditations, heart meditations such as the Loving Kindness/Metta Meditations, and compassion meditations.

HIKING:

We will be getting out for a couple of hikes during our time on retreat. They will be moderate in difficulty, however we are hiking at high elevation which can increase the difficulty. We will go easy and not push it too hard when hiking. We will take breaks for the group and listen to our needs.

Please bring good and supportive hiking shoes, a daypack to hike with, a reusable water bottle, a hat, sunscreen, and layers as we know Colorado weather can change in a flash.
